Did He Really Think He Wouldn't Be Noticed?
Sometimes the Fates will give you a little nudge when they think you deserve it, this morning I got that nudge. So, there I was thinking about what to write about today when I saw this news article from Reuters UK. If you don't want to actually read the article, it basically states that a 39 year old man in Saitama, Japan decided to buy a school girl outfit and wig over the internet, put them on and take a stroll by a nearby high school. When students noticed him and started screaming, he decided to dash into the school and try to hide until things calmed down. Where does one even begin to point out the flawed logic in this whole thing? Now, giving him a very large benefit of the doubt we could see that this man just wanted to go out and air out his new school girl uniform and wig. We won't think about it for very long but we'll give him this benefit of the doubt that he had zero idea that this might cause alarm. When it did cause alarm though, there is no grain of salt big enough that you can take with this story to make anyone believe the rest. There is just no way that anyone, including him, could possibly believe that he could sneak onto the campus and blend into the background. It's just not possible that he could believe this. Luckily he was chased away and caught by a riverbank shortly after but he lost his wig in the process. The article says that he is to be charged with trespassing and it's a shame that they haven't come up with anything else.
